{"id":3224,"date":"2017-02-17T09:26:43","date_gmt":"2017-02-17T08:26:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amdf-centre.org\/?p=3224"},"modified":"2026-07-05T20:17:37","modified_gmt":"2026-07-05T19:17:37","slug":"workshop-focuses-on-eco-journalism-nigeria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amdf-centre.org\/2017\/02\/17\/workshop-focuses-on-eco-journalism-nigeria\/","title":{"rendered":"Workshop focuses on eco-journalism [Nigeria]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Journalism or\u00a0mass communication students from the Niger Delta region can\u00a0apply for an all-expenses-paid\u00a0workshop.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/aamei_dev\" target=\"_blank\">African Art and Media for Earth Initiative\u00a0<\/a>is organizing the Eco-Journalism Workshop 101 March 27 to 29 in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>The goal is to provide a\u00a0platform to generate and tell stories of grassroot people directly affected by the oil pollution of communities\u00a0in the Niger Delta region as well as\u00a0stories of indigenous \u00a0people, by indigenous people, for a global audience.<\/p>\n<p>Topics include how to track oil spills, follow investments\u00a0meant for ecological interventions, monitor clean-up projects and restoration programs.
