{"id":5470,"date":"2019-07-29T15:22:31","date_gmt":"2019-07-29T14:22:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amdf-centre.org\/?p=5470"},"modified":"2026-07-05T19:49:52","modified_gmt":"2026-07-05T18:49:52","slug":"thomson-foundations-young-journalist-award-2019-now-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amdf-centre.org\/2019\/07\/29\/thomson-foundations-young-journalist-award-2019-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Thomson Foundation\u2019s Young Journalist Award 2019 Now Open"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The Thomson Foundation annual journalism competition dedicated to finding and inspiring ambitious journalists from across the globe.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>As they invite entries for the prestigious Young Journalist Award, they shine the spotlight on the work of three former Young Journalist Award winners from Russia, Syria and Sudan who show unprecedented resolve to defend media freedom.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Criteria<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>AGE<\/strong>: Entrants must be 30 years of age or under on 26th November, 2019.<\/li>\n<li><strong>LOCATION<\/strong>: For the purpose of this competition the \u201cdeveloping world\u201d is defined as countries with a Gross National Income (GNI) of $20,000 or less.
